We chose to go the "micro wedding" route this past winter, for the following reasons: 1. Veronica was feeling self-conscious about a large ceremony 2. Focusing on a super intentional, meaningful and intimate ceremony was our priority 3. Waiting for the "big" wedding could be ages with the post-COVID wedding industry; 1-3 years depending on the plan! Engagements used to be short, back in our parents' time. That was what we wanted, too. With those reasons, we went ahead with our ceremony, photos, and family dinner on February 3rd, reserving some of the "reception" traditions for our other loved ones. That's where you come in! You should be excited for this reception party because: 1. We really did reserve quite a few things for this party and you, specifically 2. We are way less stressed about everything since we did the marriage part already and have time to just settle into life together 3. Less stress means MORE PARTYING! What this reception is not: 1. A wedding ceremony or vow renewal 2. Super traditional What it is: 1. Cocktail hour and dinner, games and lawn games, a kid-friendly environment, and a family-friendly timeline (see FAQ for more :) 2. A way for us to gather with our extended family and friends from all parts of our lives, to celebrate our relationship and marriage. We can't wait to see you there!
