Bride's Story

9 years down, forever to go.

In 2016, We had family visiting from India who happend to also know Vandit. They had brought a bag of things for him. Vandit came by my parents’ house after work to pick up this bag- full of energy and spontaneous ideas. When he suggested a last-minute WEEKNIGHT family mini-golf outing with kids, I was extremely annoyed. I mean, first of all, he shows up on a weekday, then suggests this family outing during my sleeping hours? 🙄 Fast forward many months, he popped up on my phone on a dating app. What started as a simple swipe turned into something much bigger. Over the past nine years, we’ve grown through a lot—joy, challenges, disagreements, and learning to understand each other. (I also learned A WHOLE LOT about Cricket.) Moments that tested us in ways we didn’t expect. We grew, we adjusted, and sometimes we stumbled but... We’ve also made incredible memories traveling around the world, chasing adventures (Bull run in Pamplona, Northern lights in Alaska, White River Rafting in Canada…many more). Created memories that we’ll carry with us forever. The laughter, the late-night talks, the adventures both big and small. What started with a swipe became a journey—and through it all, it became us.

Groom's Story

First inning's over. Second inning begins

Keya didn't tell you the full story. At First, I didnt even recognize who she was on the dating app. And after I made a dumb stupid joke, she called me lame and unmatched me. I knew I was doomed. Clean bowled. Golden Duck. Few months later, I made a new account and matched with her again. Fate and destiny, I guess. But the second time is always the charm. When the universe gives you a second chance, you take it. This time, I played it safe and made a decent enough joke, enough to survive the over and the rest is history. Somehow, I was able to keep her entertained and have been not-out for 9 years and hopefully many more to come. All the drives to the Valley from the OC over the weekends just to see her for a few hours is finally paying its dividends. Over the years, we've made incredible memories - exploring national parks, hiking trails and chasing her favorite thing outdoors: waterfalls. We had perfected the ritual of "meeting-in-the middle" for food adventures. By food adventure, I mean deciding what to eat during the hour drive and settling at the end on pizza - her second most favorite thing, after me ofcourse. It was one of the things I'd look forward to every weekend (besides cricket - jk). We have gone through our ups and downs, a few rain delays but what remained constant was our willingness to never give up despite of many challenges - distance, life, pressure, work etc. We kept going and treated it like a long test match. Where there is a will, there is way. We are finally declaring this inning - and ready to begin a new one!! Cheers :) Let's gooo. and let's have some fun !!
