We're getting married!

These two actually go way back, sort of. Lauren grew up playing travel softball with Carter’s older sister, Leigha, while Carter was the little brother constantly tagging along at tournaments. Fast forward to Halloween night in Detroit (where Lauren went to college), and fate stepped in. They randomly bumped into each other at a bar, both in costume, both surprised to see a familiar face from home. They locked eyes on the dance floor, and the rest is history. Even though they grew up just 10 minutes apart in Grand Rapids, it somehow took a night out in Detroit to bring them back into each other’s lives. And of course, special shoutout to Nate Roede, the real MVP who invited Carter to visit that weekend. Best accidental wingman ever.
