Where do we park for the wedding?

Answer

Chimney Beach will show up if you enter it into your preferred mapping app. If you are driving there from Incline Village, there is a gated parking area on the left hand side of the road before you get to the beach. This location holds ~20 vehicles and the trailhead down to the beach is right across the street. Another parking area is about a quarter-mile further down Highway 28, on the right hand side. This is paved parking but has very limited spots. The trailhead down to the beach begins over by the restrooms. If there is no parking in either parking areas, you may park on the lake side of the road after you have passed both parking areas. Then you can walk down the road to the paved parking area and take the trail down to the beach. Please call or text me with any questions and I can pinpoint locations for you.

How early should we show up for the wedding?

Answer

As early as you would like! The ceremony will be short and sweet and is planned to start at 3 pm. Chimney Beach is a lovely area to relax and explore, so show up earlier if you’d like to hang out at the beach before the ceremony!

Where should we fly into?

Answer

Reno-Tahoe Airport is the closest. However, if it is significantly cheaper to fly into Sacramento, then feel free to do that. The drive to Truckee is 40 minutes from Reno and an hour and a half from Sacramento.
