Maid of Honor
So Ashley said we had to write about our friendship, however Ashley and I are sisters. A long long time ago I came into Princess Ashley’s world and turned it upside down. Ashley and I are complete opposites. We butt heads all the time because of our differences however something thicker than our thighs is our blood. There is no better friend than a sister and there is no better sister than you ❤️
Best Man
Brian and I met when I came home from the hospital, the chubby baby that I was. We grew up together as pretty normal brothers. We bonded over video games, especially Pokemon, even when our Pokemon Blue save file was deleted and we lost our sick Alakazam! He would always beg to play catch or do some other physical activity where someone was bound to get hurt. Throwback to our makeshift boxing match in the basement where we punched each other in the face and each got a bloody nose. Classic. Honestly though, I couldn’t have asked for a better brother. He protected and cared for me all through our school days and I know that he will protect and care for Ashley for the rest of their lives!
Matron of Honor
One of our first experiences was tryouts her sophomore year/my junior year. As captain I had to choose between keeping Ashley on the team or my roommate. Luckily I was somehow able to keep both on the team, and the three of us have become best friends! What draws me to Ashley is her down for anything sense of adventure and how she takes everything in stride. We can be on a beach, by a pool, in a casino, even in a bowling alley, just about anywhere having a good time. We've had a lot of adventures together, and I'll never forget those memories while adding new ones. Near or far, she's my go-to gal. These are the friends that are hard to come by, that you never want to lose. Ashley is one of them and I'm so thankful for her!

Brian and I met during baseball when we were 10. We went on to play travel ball together and we also bowled in a few of the same leagues as kids. We became best friends when we were in high school. Brian talked me out of trying out for basketball freshman year, so that I could try out for bowling instead. We went on to bowl together for four years and we both played baseball as well. We went on many vacations together, hung out pretty much every day, and were never apart. Brian and I have so many memories together, it’s hard to narrow it down to just a few. Any time that we are together, I know it’s going to be a good time no matter what we are doing. I’m honored to stand next to Brian on this day and I’m excited to see what the future has in store for Ashley and Brian.

We met because Brian is my cousin and always acted as my big brother/best friend. He brought you to my sisters birthday party and me being just 13, I brushed off the encounter. Little did I know you’d be at every birthday party and casual hangout from then on. Now, 14 years later (and having known you over half my life), you’ve been a part of my biggest and smallest days. You took on the role of confidant, big sister, best friend and everything in between. We’ve been to every bowling alley in Illinois, took on adventures in different states and have watched countless hours of SYTTD to prepare. I can’t wait to stand by your side in the year to come and every year after that. I’m so glad our teenage friendship grew into a lifetime of sisterhood, colorful memories and endless opportunity.

Brian and I met at a party that I hosted 7 years ago. I ask Brett Powers low key on the side “who is this guy?” as I’m looking at Brian Vanderjack. His response was classic he said he’s a bowler, he likes to drink, and loves to gamble. To no one's surprise i do a lot of those three things so quickly me and Brian became great friends. Not long after our group created a bowling team that completely destroyed everyone for two straight years. I consider Brian to be one of my best friends today as he has always been there for me in the bad times and even the good times or even for the occasional time I say Vegas to him and he just says “I’m in!” I’m so happy for you and Ashley and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for you two.

I met Ashley approximately 1 week after my birth (give or take a couple days). Ash was always a big sister to me and officially became my older God-sister when I was about 3 months old. I was the closest thing to a little sister she ever had.... until 11 months later when she got a real little sister of her own. She still took me under her wing and took her older sister role very seriously. Even though I had 2 older sisters of my own, Ashley was always there to stand up for me when my own dear sisters loved to pick on me. Whether making our way across Disney World or crafting something new, Ashley has always been there to complete the task by my side.

Brian and I met back in high school when we were bowling rivals. I really didn’t like him back then mainly because he was a better bowler then me. But as time has gone on we met again in men’s leagues and have been great friends for about 7 years now. We have won countless championships, gone many vacations, and made a ton of lasting memories. I consider Brian one of my best friends and whether we are playing softball, bowling (which I’m better then him now!), Vegas, or floating in the lake hoping to not drop twisted teas, we are always having a great time. I’m so happy for you and Ashley, and glad our friendship has grown over the years.

Our friendship began when we both worked at DePaul, and you got hired and immediately had to start running two buildings. Most mornings we would make a Starbucks or Whole Foods run to vent about our stresses and dream about puppies 🐶! DePaul, puppies, yoga, and engagements later you are one of my ride or die babes!

Brian, where do I begin. Brian and I met through bowling, where all great friendships start. We bowled in high school, we were 2 years apart so we didn’t really know each other all that well, just knew of each other. Then, we get out of high school and start bowling men’s leagues a few years later. We ended up being on the same team along with Brett Powers, Kenny Trumpey and Bobby Isaacson. We ended up becoming close friends throughout this year. Our first couple years in league we’re some of the best years of my life, with pregaming at Holsteins for free pizza Friday, to closing down the bowling alley bar. I consider Brian to be one of my best friends now, only a short 5 years later.

For how our friendship started, I just remember you came to bowling and boom, we were friends 😁 and then those losers ditched us in PCB to go bowling and we stayed and had fun instead. But I know WHY we became friends, because you are sarcastic but warm, and honest but comforting. You don't take shit and you are loyal AF. You are chill but you get shit done. And because we both love squirrels and bud light and white claw and bowling and crafting and Disney and adventures!

Brian came over one day with a bunch of other dudes, and they were probably watching Mean Girls. When I started high school Brian, Jimmy, and I would walk to school together. More recently Brian and I played on the same semi-professional baseball team and we most recently won the championship in 2015. My favorite memory with Brian is the first time he came on one of our family vacations. That’s when Brian and I became best friends and Ashley hated us. We would play Xbox in the hotel room and wouldn’t do anything else. Can't wait to continue to spend family vacation together. So excited for Ashley and Brian.

Well we met from Brian, but we sparked up a friendship because you became one of my favorite people ever and someone I can talk to or go to for anything! I was always the only girl cousin and would get so happy when you came to holidays or just when I would see you. When I was little I always wanted to hang out and do things with you. I’m very lucky because not only do I get to call you family AND one of my closest friends, have someone who I admire greatly to look up to and have as a role model, to have someone who shares their love for crocs. I love you to the moon and back, even though we did not pick each other in our lives, we picked our friendship and how it is growing. I couldn’t be more thankful for that and you, and I cannot wait to help you celebrate YOUR day! and Brian’s lol

Brian and I met through Ashley! She and I both bowled at U of I, and I met Brian through different bowling parties that he would come to, so we didn't hang out much at first. Over the past few years he helped me find my job and invited me to bowl on his Sunday team, so hes responsible for all the pots money I've lost in that league.
