We Do…Always & Forever

Where do I start? I knew most of his closest friends but never really knew him or noticed him (which was weird). In April, which was 7 months prior to us meeting, we were in a fashion show together. Even though we had no immediate interaction or conversation that day, he said it was my beauty, style and boss demeanor that attracted him to me that day. He was in a on and off relationship at the time and out of respect he didn’t want to approach me. Fast forward to November, me and a few friends decided to go out on the town and stopped at a local bar/club. Approaching I see my fiancé and a mutual friend talking that we both know really well. So I spoke and kept walking but as I’m walking off I hear the friend saying “I don’t know why you scared just go talk to her”. Me being the outspoken person that I am I turned around and said “Who me? You can come over and talk to me.” He walked over and we exchanged a few words, we enjoyed the club scene and after the club we left and talked all night. I felt like I knew him forever. Long story short after that we were inseparable. 8 years later, WE ARE HERE!

It was a beautiful Saturday. For some reason we just woke up extra in love this day. We got up showered and he asked me did I want to go to breakfast. We found a spot to eat and we just sat and talked and reflected on life from the previous months. After breakfast we ended up at the mall because he had a broken chain that he recently dropped off that was ready for pickup. While we waited the seller was trying to get him to buy me some earrings which worked by the way. During all of that, the process was taking too long for me so I ended up at the food court because everyone knows I can’t pass up some fresh baked cookies. I really think he bought or paid off a ring that day. Fast forward to the night. We went by my uncles house where he has a oversize shed in the back of his home with a bar, pool table and TVs. Now my fiancé is a TikTok creator with lots of followers. He livestreams which is apart of keeping it afloat. I have two phones so I used one to hook up to the Bluetooth and play the music. So it didn’t take us long to get a little tipsy. While he’s streaming he says “babe let me go live on your Facebook, my phone has no signal” Me not paying attention really, he’s telling everyone to tune in and share the live out. He requested one particular song and told me to come dance with him. I was in the zone with him and forgot his phone and mine were both streaming. I stopped to look at the camera and speak you know just feeling myself. I hear the music stop, I look at him and he grabs my hands and proceeds to pour his heart out to me. He gets on that knee baby and asked for my hand and for me to be his wife. Yes Yes Yes (I ugly cried bad). I’ve always said I didn’t want to know when he proposed. I’m so nosey I just knew when the day came I wouldn’t be shocked. I said No birthday’s, No holidays and that I didn’t care to have anyone there when he did it. He honored that and did it his way. Now we’re here! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you.
