Emily and I met when we had two separate school projects with two mutual friends in high school and decided to all carpool to the library together. I remember vividly thinking that she was the prettiest girl I had ever seen and that there was no way that she would give me the time of day. Turns out that we had many similar interests as we would go on to spend countless hours doing theater, choir, and dance shows together in high school and we would start bonding and eventually dating through our shared and loved mutual interests. 15 years later, I am so lucky to be able to marry that girl who would become my best friend and who took my breath away from that one seemingly normal school day.

On the anniversary of when we first got together back in 2006, Vance took me to our favorite places throughout Downtown Los Angeles. After a bit of teasing about how I would have to wait another year before he proposed, we ended up on the roof of a building with the best view in all of LA. Little did I know he had an engagement ring in his pocket all night long. It was there, looking out at the bright city lights, that he proposed. With tears in my eyes and absolutely no hesitation, I said YES! We are so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with all of you. See you in Malibu!
