Oaxaca International Airport (OAX)
American Airlines, United Airlines, and Aero Mexico all offer flights into Oaxaca International airport. There are direct flights from Dallas, Houston, and Los Angeles. We recommend connecting in the U.S. as it is easier to transfer if using different airlines. You may also connect through Mexico City, but please be sure to give yourself ample time for layover as you will need to enter customs. Don't forget your passport!

We suggest arranging transportation to your hotel in advance with your hotel. There is an airport taxi service located inside the airport for those who do not make arrangements ahead of time. Note these may be "collective" rides depending on availability which means they make several stops and may not be able to drop you directly at your desired location. There are NO Lyfts/Ubers in Oaxaca. Taxis are permitted to drop-off at the airport when departing. Please be sure to have U.S. tender or pesos on your persons. Their office is located 1 block from Quinta Real. If you need to pay via credit card or Apple pay - you can pay at the office. This service can also be used to travel to activities outside of the city center throughout the duration of your stay.

We suggest staying within the "Centro" part of the city so you can easily explore and stay within close proximity to Quinta Real and one of the main areas of Templo de Santo Domingo de Guzmán. Below are a few hotels we suggest, however there are SO many great options.
