On the last day of a ski trip with our friends in Mammoth, Ron planned a short "hike" to Lake Convict on the way back to Los Angeles. We pulled into the parking lot, bickered about where to park, and finally settled on a spot. Once we got out of the car, the setting was absolutely gorgeous with a huge snowy mountain backdrop, a big lake, and a rocky shale beach lined with trees. We walked along the shore, while I had an inkling suspicion, and Ron held onto my shoulders and stopped me. He said "Babe, you know I really love you and want to spend forever with you." And he got down on one knee and asked "So will you marry me?" and I said "Yes!" It was the best day of my life, so much so that I couldn't stop giggling when he pointed out the photographer a few steps ahead of us!
