Lago Colina | El tigre
Lago Colina is an artificial lake designed in 1920 to control the water flow of the "Rio Conchos". located about 30 min southeast of Camargo, Chihuahua. This is a great place to enjoy delicious fish soup or fried fish. You can also take advantage of the lake activities, you can go on boat rides, fish, and camping. The link below has the location of the recommended restaurants. Lago colina es un lago artificial diseñado para controlar el agua del Rio Conchos. Aqui puedes venir a comer caldo de pescado o pescado frito. Tambien puedes disfrutar de paseos en lancha, pesca o acampar. En el link de abajo te dejamos los lugares que te recomendamos visitar.
Los Filtros | Boquilla
"Los filtros" are hot springs 30 min south of Camargo, Chih. We recommend you visit Los Filtros: "El Eden", "Las fuentes" or "Los nacimientos". The location can be found in the link below. You can bring your own food or have a bite at any of the local restaurants. You can also find camping areas and cabins to stay the night. Los Filtros son aguas termales a 30 min sur de Camargo, Chihuahua. Te recomendamos ir a Los Filtros: "El Eden", "Las fuentes" o "Los nacimientos" La ubication esta en el enlace de abajo. Puedes llevar para hacer picnic, o comer en alguno de los restaurantes del area. Tambien podrás encontrar areas de acampar y cabanas.
Pueblitos: Cima de la Sierra Santa Rosalia
If you are into hiking, we recommend visiting "Pueblitos". This is an eco-tourism park. To reach the lookout point, there is a 5-kilometer trail, you can appreciate the flora and fauna of the region. Once at the lookout point the view is spectacular and you will be able to see the "Rio conchos" and the "Sierra of Santa Rosalia". Don't miss the local restaurant, where you can enjoy local dishes with an amazing view. There is a $70 MXN fee to get a ride to the lookout point. Si te interesa el senderismo, te recomendamos visitar "Pueblitos". Puedes tomar un camino de 5 km para llegar al mirador o tomar una camioneta por $70 pesos que te llevara al mirador. Ya en la cima no te pierdas de visitar el restaurante y comer comida tipica de la region.
Barrancas del Cobre (Copper Canyon)
If you have more time and would like to explore the state, a trip to the "Sierra" is worth it! This is about 4 hrs from the state capital.
