It all started with a cup of sugar while in Jail....

No but seriously, we met in jail. We met during our testing to begin working at the Wise County Sheriff's Office in the Jail. Though he says he noticed me during the interview process I didn't notice him until I had just finished my physical and he was coming in after me. At the very worst possible moment as I was out of breath, sweating, and in work-out attire he struck up a general conversation asking how the testing went. Mind you I was actually dying inside but I told him it went great and I'd see him around. The next time we would see each other would be after a few weeks. I started my training in the jail before him as he was at his military training. One day he came into work and said he was thinking about moving. The duplexes I was living in at the time in Denton had some for rent signs up so I let him know I could get the info for him. We joked around saying that he would be close enough, if he were to move there, that he could borrow a cup a sugar if needed. I don't think either of us had ever smiled so big during a conversation in our lives. We talked for a few months after that and he finally asked me out on our first date. Nothing special just dinner and a movie. About 2 hours before we were supposed to leave he cancelled. Not a very good start but he sure did make up for it. On February 12, 2015 he laid it all on the line and asked me to be his girlfriend. Of course I said yes! 8 days later he asked him on a whim to spend the weekend with him in San Antonio to make up for cancelling on me. What a weekend it was! 5 Star Hotels, Fine Dining, and walking the river-walk. It was a dream come true. Though our situations weren't ever perfect we stuck together through thick and thin. On July 11th, 2016 while we were supposed to be celebrating his birthday with my parents, he asked me to marry him in front of the Rolling Stones logo at Rock and Brews restaurant in The Colony he got down on one knee with the ring on handcuffs and proposed.
