We met at our very first jobs at Boston Market. Between sarcastic jokes, pre-work coffee runs, and our shared annoyance for customers and coworkers alike, we quickly became friends. During college and living states away, something kept us coming back to this friendship we both cherished more than we ever let on. Over the next 3-4 years, life ebbed and flowed, and eventually we found our way to each other during the spring of 2020. While the world was shut down, our relationship was just starting. We officially began dating in June of 2020, something so many people saw coming and others had been waiting to happen. In June of 2025, Luke planned a date starting with a wine tasting at Geneva Winery, then lunch at one of favorite places (Atlas Chicken shack), a walk around the farmers market, and a stroll in the Japanese Gardens. After, while walking toward the river, Luke stopped me in the middle of this gorgeous greenery arch, told me how much he loved me, and asked me to marry him. Since the day we started dating, it has been late night giggling, long hikes, crime shows, food shows, and the office; sushi dates, coffee dates, taco dates, and city dates; trying new foods, navigating new experiences, and coming at life as a team, ever since.
