Gamboa Rainforest Reserve
The resort we will be staying at has SO many activities, we hope you get to experience a few. Activities include: hiking trails, sloth sanctuary, night safaris, panama canal expedition, and boat tours They have discounts if we attend as a group so let us know which activities you are interested in and we will fit them in! Activities are available at many times of the day
Panama Canal Miraflores Visitor Center
Entry fee: $7.22 The best time to see ships go through the locks are at 8 am or 2 pm. Fee includes museum walk through, balcony to view ships pass
Taboga Island
The Island is a great for exploring and swimming Get to the island via a ferry: https://tabogaexpress.com/ Ferry roundtrip fees: $24 adult $14 kids Bring cash for beach umbrellas, seashore shops
Panama Viejo Ruins and Visitor Center
This is Valery's favorite because of it's pirate history. This is the Original Panama City, built in 1519 by the Spanish and destroyed in 1671 by the privateer Henry Morgan. Entry Fees: Adults $10, Kids $3, University Students with ID $5 Fee includes a museum, shuttle ride to the ruins and really cool ruins
Casco Viejo
Casco Viejo, or the 'old quarter', is Panama City’s historic district. Considered a UNESCO Cultural World Heritage Site, the district dates back to 1673, and features vibrant plazas and picturesque brick-paved streets surrounded by colorful buildings. Casco viejo has Museums, restaurants, shops, the Presidential Palace, and the national theatre.
San Blas Islands
This is a once in a life time experience. The water is crystal clear and the islands inhabited and gorgeous. The trip is a whole day experience (5 am to 7pm) and definitively worth it. Price per person is $120 and includes transportation, meals, tour guides.
