No. However, to ensure the health and safety of our dear family and friends, only fully vaccinated guests may attend. In addition, we suggest receiving a negative COVID test prior to your departure.

What do I need to do prior to arriving to Mexico?

Answer

The Mexican civil aviation, health, and transportation departments require all passengers traveling to Mexico to download the Vuela Seguro app and complete the obligatory health questionnaire 12 hours prior to departure. Does the obligatory health questionnaire have to be completed on my phone, or is there another way to complete it?

Answer

If needed, you can go to your airline counter at the airport and complete the questionnaire there.

Not all employees at the Westin are vaccinated, as it is not required by the Mexican government.

Answer

All hotel staff on the Westin property are required to wear a mask, as well as guests who are in indoor public areas of the hotel.

Answer

Yes. If a guest tests positive, they can stay until testing negative, assuming there is hotel availability. A special rate will be provided for the extra nights.

Answer

You can take a taxi from the airport to the hotel which is located 5 minutes away. You can also contact Esmeralda Aguiar at the Westin concierge, Esmeralda.aguiar@westin.com who can arrange private transportation.

Is a negative COVID-19 test required prior to returning to the US?

Answer

Yes. Anyone traveling by air to the US (ages 2 and over) is required to present a negative COVID-19 test, regardless of vaccination status. Please refer to your airline carrier for specific requirements.

When should I get tested for COVID-19 to ensure re-entry to the US?

Answer

The viral test (PCR/NAAT or antigen test) should be completed no more than three calendar days prior to flight departure to return to the US. Antibody tests are not compliant with the requirement.

How should I document my test result?

Answer

Make sure you have a paper or electronic copy of your test result for review by airline officials before boarding your return flight to the US.

What if my flight is delayed?

Answer

If your flight is delayed before departure, you will need to be re-tested if the delay causes your test to fall outside of the three-day pre-departure testing period.
