We actually met at a wedding on Labor Day weekend in 2024! Zach was a groomsman, while Valerie was the Day of Coordinator. Their first interaction was Val scolding him for being late to the rehearsal. He better not be late for our wedding! Our first date took place on February 22nd, 2025 and Zach planned the most creative date! We went and painted pottery - Val painted wildflowers on a wine glass and Zach painted a fierce dragon goblet! Then we went to Hagemeister Park for dinner and desserts in their heated winter igloos! It was the best date that Val had ever been on and the rest was history. We've already had many adventures including going into the ocean in some of our finest clothes in Florida, roughing it while camping, horseback riding on wooded trails, and spending many wonderful summer days on the lake. Our favorite adventure so far was going snowboarding in Utah! Zach was very patient while teaching Val since she's a newbie and he's been snowboarding for many, many years. The views in the mountains were breathtaking, but nothing compared to turning around to find Zach down on one knee. We are looking forward to learning from one another and all of the new experiences that life will bring us!
