It may not have been love at first sight, but it has been one that has lasted. We met in high school, but it took until our senior year for our love to finally spark! Through the ups and downs of long distance, Big Ten rivalries (Ski-U-Mah vs. Jump Around), and too many baseball games, we have just begun learning how to love each other. We are incredibly excited to get rid of the distance and finally build our life together. After about 3 years of dating, Vince joined the Wallace family on a trip down to Nashville at the end of July 2025. During an afternoon to explore a vineyard, Vince surprised Valerie by popping the question and secretly having a family member taking photos. Later that day, Vince also had a private wine tasting set up for the two of them, flew out his family for a surprise, and set up a dinner for the whole group to celebrate the occasion. From there, it has been a busy yet exciting first few months of planning, with more fun to follow.
