Tim and Val first crossed paths during their freshman year of college, introduced by mutual friends. Tim’s dorm room quickly became the group’s go-to hangout spot—whether he liked it or not. Between friends napping, squeezing in homework between classes, or crowding in for weekend nights, his room was rarely, if ever, empty. Through these gatherings, Tim and Val grew close, spending hours talking and laughing. Over time, Tim’s feelings for Val began to deepen, and he eventually asked her on a date in the spring of their freshman year. Val, on the other hand, wasn’t so sure at first. While she firmly had Tim in the friend zone, she still agreed to give it a shot. Their first date took place at Dinosaur BBQ (where else?). That summer, their connection grew even stronger as they talked every day. What began as a friendship began to blossom into something much more meaningful. The turning point came during a family trip to the Poconos, where Val found herself in a remote cabin with no cell service. Not being able to talk to Tim was surprisingly frustrating. Meanwhile, Tim was back in Rochester settling into his new house and preparing for football camp. The moment she returned, she rushed to see him. Shortly after, they went to the Park Ave Festival together, officially starting their relationship. The rest of their college years were spent side by side. They lived on the same street, cheered each other on, celebrated milestones, and made countless memories. From study breaks to adventures with friends, their bond only grew stronger. After graduation, their paths took them in different directions. Tim headed off to medical school In Philadelphia, while Val stayed in Rochester to pursue her own career. For the next four years, they managed a long-distance relationship, relying on phone calls, visits, virtual Netflix dates, and their commitment to one another to stay connected. Throughout their relationship, Tim and Val discovered a shared love for travel, visiting destinations like St. Thomas, Nashville, Belize, and Lake Placid, among others. Their mutual love for food and cooking became another way they bonded. Through the years, they enjoyed countless dinner dates in Philly and experimenting with new recipes together. Now, after years of balancing careers, long-distance calls, and weekend trips, Tim and Val are thrilled to be starting the next chapter of their lives together.
