FAQs

The Wedding Website of Valerie Compton and Oran Gulen
Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Absolutely! In fact there is a specific spot to let us know on your RSVP.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Parking is limited, but available. If you are able to carpool with someone it would be a great idea to do so.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Yes. Please refer to the RSVP page to let us know if you will be attending. You can click the link at the bottom of the page that says "Next Event" to move on and RSVP for the next event.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by September 25, 2020.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Thank you for asking. We are registered and if you would like to take a look at it you can find all of the links and information on our registry page.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive by 4:15 pm.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Fall Garden Party Attire: Dressy Outdoor Casual A dress with knee high boots. Slacks and a nice shirt. Flannels and Jackets welcome. The ceremony and reception will be outdoors. We will have games and a bonfire later in the evening. Remember it will be chilly.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Unfortunately, with the restrictions of Covid-19, social distancing, and space limitations we ask that only individuals that are named on your invite come to our wedding.

Question

But wait a minute, aren't y'all already married?

Answer

Why, yes we are! We were married in a private little ceremony in Las Vegas on May 2, 2020. With other friends and family members having to cancel/reschedule their weddings due to Covid-19, we were afraid that we might not be able to get married on October 17 as we had planned. We decided the best decision for us would be to get married and then, if the situation allowed, to have a celebration of our marriage complete with a ceremony to exchange rings with our loved ones on our original date in October.
