We want our people to feel at home on our special day and when we found this venue, we fell in love (many many thanks to Aimee, cousin of the bride for the stellar recommendation). Howe Caverns
Kids who went to Hoosic Valley know this place well. I brought Nick last winter as a Christmas gift and it was super fun. The cave is enormous. We saw a bat. You ride in an underground boat. You can stand on a heart-shaped glowing rock.
Schoharie Valley Farms & The Carrot Barn
We stopped here for lunch on our way out of town after visiting The Maples. It is one of the coziest farm stores that I have ever visited with local goodies, beautiful views, and a cafe with bomb sandwiches. Nick and I bought some spicy pickled garlic and a little plant friend to bring home.
