Our Story 🤍 Kris and Val’s love story began in 2008, back when MySpace was the place to connect. What started as a simple friend request quickly turned into something special. Not long after, they went on their first date at Pearlridge Shopping Center, spending the day laughing, riding a silly ride at Fun Factory, and making memories. Somewhere in the middle of it all, Val convinced Kris to buy what might still be the ugliest hat ever from Lids—but somehow that moment made the day even more perfect. On October 13, 2008, they officially became a couple. From going to each other’s proms to navigating the ups and downs of growing up, they shared so many of life’s first big moments together. In many ways, they grew up side by side, learning what love, patience, and friendship really mean. Their journey wasn’t without its twists. From 2013 to 2018, life led them down separate paths—a time they lovingly call their “amnesia era.” During those years they both grew, experienced life in different ways, and learned more about themselves. But when something is meant to be, it has a way of finding its way back. In 2018, Kris and Val reunited and picked up right where they left off. Through every challenge and every joyful moment, their love only grew stronger. Along the way, they found something even deeper together—their faith. Finding God and making Him the foundation of their relationship brought them closer than ever and strengthened the bond they had always shared. Then on October 19, 2022, during a trip to Los Angeles with their friends, Kris planned a moment Val would never forget. Beneath the glowing lights of the beautiful Urban Light installation, he got down on one knee and asked Val to spend forever with him. In the middle of all those lights and surrounded by love, she said yes. From a MySpace message, to an unforgettable first date, to finding their way back to each other and building their relationship on faith—Kris and Val’s story is one of friendship, growth, and a love that never gave up.
