Valerie's Point of View: Kawamen made reservations at a nice water front restaurant in Fort. Lauderdale, but at the time I didn't know he had driven a little over an hour to see me. With that being said, he was on time and I was late even though I lived a few minutes away. That really is what our relationship still looks like. Kawamen being the punctual one in the relationship no matter the distance! We had a nice dinner and walked a few steps onto the beach to get to know each under the stars in front of God's beautiful night time ocean. From this date, I knew he was kind because of the way he spoke to me. I knew he was patient because of how long he waited for me on the first date. I could definitely see how handsome he was. I could also see how thoughtful he was because of how well thought out the date was. And at the end of the night, I was so happy I met him. Kawamen's Point of View: I was done with dating before I met Valarie. Most encounters left me wanting. Suffice it to say, when I scheduled a date with a nice woman I met online I was surprised at what was awaiting me. Poise, beauty and gravitas all behind a kind smile. I would be lying if I said my mind was made up after our pleasant dinner or our romantic stroll across the beach or even our night long conversation about our hope’s dreams and aspirations. That would be false. I knew the moment I first laid eyes on her that she was the one. My love for her grew from there unbound from fears and apprehension of loss or wanting to be what it is today. A commitment to live now and forever with the woman of my dreams.
