Downtown Hendersonville has amazing restaurants and walk down the adorable main street.
A legacy of America’s gilded age. Take a tour of George W. Vanderbilt’s winter chateaux, or better yet, upgrade to a special rooftop tour. Head outside to explore the century-old gardens, go horseback riding, or biking across the many trails. The winery offers free tastings; however if you’re a fan of bubbly, then upgrade to a paid tasting (it’s worth it).
The Brewpub is the original home to the Wicked Weed Brewing housing. It also include a full restaurant and is dog friendly!
Blue Ridge Parkway is an experience unlike any other. A slow paced and relaxing drive which reveal stunning long range vistas and close up views of the rugged mountains. Fun fact...the Parkway is 469 miles long!
This one is a must see! The 535 million year old monolith rock which the park is named after is beautiful and once you reach the top of the rock you will have a 75 mile panoramic view of Hickory Nut Gorge. The park is also home to a 400 foot waterfall.
If you like ales then you will love Green Man Brewery. They have been brewing great beer since 1997 and is one of Asheville's original breweries.
DuPont features spectacular waterfalls, ecological communities, lakes, and extensive trail systems, which would be great for a long walk in October! :)
