We were childhood friends that went to the same church together. He was really shy and didn't talk to me much. When he became a teenager him and his family moved away and went to a different church. We didn't have any sort of communication. When he was a little older his family moved again and went to Florida. We found each other online after my 18th birthday and everything was so easy. It was like we've known each other our whole lives. We then planned on meeting in person, and I flew to Florida to see him. We met in person on April 11th, and he asked to be my boyfriend on April 13th. We knew on day one that we would be getting married, and so we are extremely excited the day is finally coming.
We met up at a national park and we went on a trail walk. He had a friend of his follow us there without me knowing to take pictures of us. He had a place picked out in the trail that was a large rock overlooking a lake, and we set out a blanket to sit on. He told me he had written a poem for me and took out a paper and started to read it. After he finished reading his poem, he took out a ring and went on one knee. His friend was taking pictures of us the whole time, and he asked me to marry him. It was even better than I could imagine it and I said yes.
