We're getting married!

Some love stories begin with grand gestures, but ours began with a simple "Hey 🙂" on Instagram-on October 19, 2019. Just two days later, we shared our first date at Oregano's, and from the moment our eyes met, something in both of us just knew. It was love at first sight-gentle, effortless, and completely unexpected. Our first date was filled with laughter, nerves, and one unforgettable jalapeño.I,Valerie, bit into a jalapeño that left me nearly speechless. Javier, ever the gentleman, claimed he could handle anything spicy-only to realize that jalapeño was no joke. We laughed so hard, it felt like time stood still. In that moment, we weren't just two people getting to know each other-we were beginning a forever kind of love. Soon after, we shared our first magical Disney trip. From the very beginning, we bonded over our shared love for Disney (Valerie is from Anaheim, after all!). We wore matching shirts, tried all the foods, and took way too many photos. We weren't just visiting; we were building traditions. From then on, we promised to return every year, no matter our age, always with that same joy and matching spirit. Then came March 31, 2024—a day we will never forget. Surrounded by my family, in the warmth of my childhood home, a conversation about church and marriage turned into something far more beautiful. Javier leaned in with a smile and asked, "Do you have any Tums?", still unsuspecting, I pointed him toward the car, not knowing “Tums” was code for the ring. When my dad echoed the question and Javier dropped to one knee, time once again stood still. In the home where my story began, Javier asked me to begin the next chapter— with him. What we love most about each other is how we bring out the best in one another. I adore Javier's strength, his tender heart, and the quiet way he works so hard to care for those he loves. Javier treasures my deep love for family, my unwavering faith, and the way I light his path and lead him closer to God. Our love is rooted in laughter, built on faith, and wrapped in a forever promise.We are so grateful to be walking into this next chapter of life together, guided by love and the strength of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Our hearts are full, and we can't wait to celebrate with all of you.
