Valerie Demilade and i met 8 years ago at a football game one of Tactics IQ's tournaments. It was a really hot sunny afternoon and when i could no longer pretend to be interested in the match i decided to leave. Stopped to say hi to Peju his best friend i knew from uni, Demilade was sat next to him so he introduced us. Demilade Actually she had walked down to go and buy something most likely suya & that was the third time i had seen her. Then i asked my best friend Peju if he knew her cause i think i had seen them speak before, he said he did and i asked him to introduce us. We tried to get her attention, stopped her in her tracks & i remember commenting on her red shorts lol . We spoke and i took her number and BBPin and it was a journey from there. Valerie i remember you guys stopping me that day. i was honestly just trying to hurry home before my 7pm curfew that year. if you are wondering, that was one of the days i DID make it home before curfew lol! This isn't a sappy love at first sight story because we didn't start dating until 5 years after in December of 2016 when he begged :) loll then i eventually agreed in March of 2017. It's been an incredible journey ever since. so incredible we've decided to make it last forever with God on our side.

Demilade I had something planned, along the lines of what the trend is, somewhere nice with friends and family hiding around; behind trapdoors, curtains and under carpets. You know, and boom! Surprise on one knee. Very nice, very cute, champagne for everybody yay. But there was something about that evening; something different. I had spent the whole day telling our parents and siblings how it was going down the day after, Lord willing. Same Lord moved me that evening; she was also out of character. She gets home; plugs in her phone to charge beside mine, lays next to me on the couch, holds me tight and starts playing with my fingers and nails. I love the little things. DStv had probably expired and I think the WiFi was out too; can’t remember, but that could be the only reason why the cable tv and Netflix were off and it was just quiet and perfect. Valerie Tbh i was being mad cute cause i wanted to go and sleep over at Moet's house. I was buttering him up for my exit lol. Can never forget driving back to pick her up from her meeting that evening and i had a ring on my finger. Something that wasn't there 30 minutes ago. Demilade I thought, why not now? This very moment, I don’t need an audience, or a spectacle, I just needed her attention. I stretch for the ring box while I pushed the center table away with my leg, gently maneuvered out of the cuddle and got on two knees (brothers, two is better than one, trust me. You get more balance Incase it takes 5 to 15mins for an answer. It’s more comfortable; less pain on the one knee. And deliciously beautiful in her eyes. It ain’t always about you playa). I continue, i say my speech ending with how I’m not complete without her love and I asked her to marry me.
