Our story started 3 years ago on the infamous "Tinder" app. Who would have thought, right?! Chase happened to message Valerie first, but she chose not to respond (not exactly sure why). Weeks later, she finally messaged him back apologizing for not responding sooner. She expected to not hear anything back from him as she thought she missed her window. To her surprise, he didn't take very long to respond and after some weeks of talking over the phone their first date was on April 15, 2021 at Kirby Ice House. After the first date, Valerie thought she wouldn't hear anything from him since he didn't really speak very much on the date. Low and behold, the dates kept coming and he officially asked her to be his girlfriend on July 30, 2021. At this point, Valerie expressed to Chase that if he was serious about the relationship he had a 3 year timeline to propose. This is due to Valerie's belief that if you're 3 years into a relationship you should know if you want to get married to the other person. Hehe. His friends had a hard time remembering Valerie's name and we constantly had to remind them (this is now a funny joke between all of us!). Fast forward to September 2021, our short relationship was tested as Chase lost his sweet momma, Tonia. We both believe this made our relationship stronger, as well as our relationship with Jesus. Tonia was a Jesus loving woman and her belief was immensely strong. We are forever grateful for her example in how she walked in faith and loved everyone! Lets fast forward through all of the fun dates, hunting trips, chick-fil-a meals, vacations, birthdays, and growing as a couple to April of 2024. Finally, Chase asked Valerie to go with him and pick out a ring that she would love. After no stated budget from him, she of course picked out what she would love. Let's just say, he learned his lesson. On July 25, 2024, just 6 days shy of 3 years, Chase got down on one knee and asked the million dollar question, to which Valerie said YES! We cannot wait to embark on this new journey as a couple and continue to grow in our relationship, as well as in our relationship with Jesus. Thank you for being here and supporting us!
