Where are you registered?

Answer

Thank you for the question. Given this wedding is a destination wedding, your presence is gift enough - no gifts necessary. Instead, we ask you to enjoy the celebration!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

No, please attend in whatever attire you feel comfortable in! As a gentle reminder, the weather in northern Minnesota in May can be quite cool. You might want to consider bringing a warm coat since the wedding and cocktail hour will be outdoors. Bonus points available to anyone who can convince teenagers to wear a coat!

Can you accommodate any special dietary restrictions?

Answer

YES! If you have any special dietary restrictions, please let us know and we are happy to accommodate you. We kindly ask that you notify us of special requests by April 1st so we can work with the caterer to ensure they are aware.

Will this be a kid friendly event?

Answer

Absolutely! We encourage you to bring your kids and enjoy your stay. We both have children of our own, so we promise there will be age-appropriate conversations and songs. In fact, we love watching kids dance, so please encourage them to be out on the dance floor as often as possible! The Lutsen Resort is on the shores of Lake Superior, so we recommend keeping a close eye on your little ones around the water.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Unfortunately, we have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation. We thank you for your understanding.

Will I need to wear a mask?

Answer

We understand how serious COVID-19 is and want to ensure everyone's safety. Unless state or local law dictates, we will not require but will encourage our guests to wear masks and will be providing hand sanitizer. We strongly encourage you to contact the Lutsen Resort to understand their policies as well, as the resort will be open to other guests during this time.

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

We encourage our guests to stay at the Lutsen Resort, as we do have a block of rooms available. Please note there is a two-night minimum and unfortunately discounts are not available. If you prefer to select different lodging, we encourage you to check out https://www.lutsen.com/plan-your-trip/lodging-activities/lodging-directory, which lists a number of nearby accommodations as well. Please note we are unable to provide transportation to other lodgings; however, parking at the Lutsen Resort for non-registered hotel guests is free.

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

Yes, we encourage guests to post pictures onto their social media channels, our only request is that you tag us in each photo so we can keep track of all of your amazing pictures!

Will you be accepting song requests?

Answer

We definitely will! There will be a DJ, and we would love to incorporate our guests' favorites. This is a kid friendly event; therefore, we kindly ask to keep the requests appropriate. Please email your requests to wellsv618@gmail.com or bkocherer@yahoo.com and include the song name and the artist. If the DJ has the song available, we will have it added to the playlist!
