We met on Valerie's first day working at Wedgewood Pharmacy in March 2014. She started working in the Dispensing department as a pharmacy technician. As training is about to start, guess who walks in the door as the Dispensing trainer but Brad. Ready to start his routine in training us newbies. We immediately click and Brad had nothing bad to say about Valerie. About a month later we went on our first date bonding over our love for bad movies. We've been together ever since. On December 31, 2016, Brad proposed to me at Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, PA. This year we are now getting the ball rolling in planning our wedding.
So on December 30th, 2016, Brad buys tickets to Longwood Gardens and says we are going to go there tomorrow since I, Valerie, have wanted to go for some time and they have their Christmas lights still up. The next day we go, Brad makes sure I bring my camera. As we walk around we make it to the indoor conservatory Brad wants us to take pictures together. If you know Brad, he's not a photogenic guy so this was odd. After the conservatory, we make it over to the Chimes Tower and Brad found a quiet spot on a bridge. I went first on the bridge looking out at the beautiful landscape. While I was distracted, Brad got down on one knee, I turned around and there was the ring: a three stone ring, with an emerald cut sapphire in the center with a diamond on each side. "You found it", was the first thing to come out of my mouth because I was so shocked. After I regained my composure I said "yes" and Brad finally could breathe. We took some time to get rid of the jitters and call some family. Went to a New Years Eve party after, and every year we go to Longwood Gardens ever since to celebrate the proposal.
