Formal Attire Our wedding will be held at church, modest attire is required during the ceremony. We reccomend dresses of approperate length with no high slits and covered shoulders. The reception afterwards will be more relaxed so you may opt for a shawl or wrap for the ceremony!
We respectfully ask that all phones, cameras, and recording devices remain put away during the ceremony. Photography and videography by guests are not permitted inside the church. Our professional photographer has been authorized to capture the ceremony, and we ask that everyone help us preserve the reverence of the occasion by being fully present. Once we arrive at the reception, we welcome and encourage photos! We look forward to seeing the celebration through your eyes.
As our wedding day falls on a Sunday, the day will begin with the Orthros at 9 a.m. and Divine Liturgy at 10 a.m. The Divine Liturgy is the regular Sunday worship service of the faithful where we partake of the sacrament of Holy Communion and is an important part of our faith and our preparation for the Sacrament of Marriage. All family and friends are warmly invited to attend, whether you are Orthodox or simply interested in sharing this meaningful part of our day. Attendance at the Divine Liturgy is completely optional, and guests are welcome to join us for the wedding ceremony and reception even if they are unable to attend the morning service. We would be honored to have you worship and celebrate with us.
We kindly ask that you RSVP by August 16 so we can finalize our guest count with our venue and vendors. Your response helps us plan seating, meals, and other details to make our celebration enjoyable for everyone. Because we must provide final numbers by this date, we will only be able to accommodate guests who have RSVP'd by August 16. If we do not receive your response by then, we will unfortunately have to mark you as unable to attend.
Your presence is the greatest gift, but if you'd like to honor us with a gift, we've included registry options on our website, there will also be an envelope box at the reception.
