6/3/2018 it all started when Val shot her shot on Hinge. hook, line, and sinker. the rest is history!
6/16/18 a week after we first met, we went to Boulevardia together and danced at our first concert, Bleachers 🕺🏻💃🏽

Val’s new backyard, The Great Sand Dunes 08/2019. Val moved to Alamosa, CO for the following year and a half to serve 3 terms in AmeriCorps. JV long distance era commences!
2020, we spent traveling around the great Southwest. This is at Tent Rocks near Santa Fe, New Mexico.
We camped, we glamped, we skipped, we hiked… Summer 2020 in Colorado was the best (for us, globally… an atrocity)
our first and only 14er in June 2020! This was a true testament to our love as Jack is afraid of heights and Val hates walking at an incline in general. But we did it!
In December 2020, Jack graduated!! He didn’t get to walk, but we celebrated with a photo shoot and tons of champagne anyways.
In February 2021, we (finally) ended our long distance era and moved into our first place together in Durango, CO.

In 2022, we moved everything into Jack’s dad’s storage unit and flew to Antigua, Guatemala. Jack volunteered with Máximo Nivel and helped build a play ground for kids with special needs!

After Antigua, we decided to move to Phoenix in April 2022 where Jack got a great job!
In July 2022, after months of working remotely, Val decided she needed a companion. We adopted Ophelia and she is the absolute best four legged ball of fluff in the world.
In October 2023, Jack proposed to Val at Liquid Art Winery with all of our family near by to celebrate

In March of 2024, Val and Jack moved to KC because they missed their friends and family and the midwest too much
Which brings us to now, looking forward to 6.21.25 and tying the dang knot!
