We met in an electromagnetism physics class and ended up sitting next to each other. Half way through the semester we were separated by the professor for talking too much. Outside of class we started doing homework together at the library and a year later we reconnected over pizza. Shortly after, we began dating.

On the beach in San Diego we sat on the sand and watched the sunset. While Valeria was looking at the paw prints in the sand I grabbed her hand and got on one knee. While kneeling in front of her, I asked her to marry me. She looked at me in surprise and said yes.
