After a few attempts of meeting each other, Val and Wichy finally met on Friday, October 13, 2017. Creepy, right? Val almost bailed that night, because who goes out on Friday the 13th? They immediately hit it off that night - Val with her red dress and Wichy with his mysteriously busy work schedule. They talked for about an hour before he explained he had a construction project to get to at 3 A.M and called it a night, leaving Val with a huge curiosity. That Sunday morning, they met for brunch. That following Friday, they met for a BBQ and ever since then, they never stopped seeing each other!

On Valentine's Day of 2022, Wichy surprised Val with a reservation to a romantic weekend get-away at one of their favorites spots to ski and relax: Red River, NM. Fast forward to the night before leaving to Red River, Wichy is looking for the perfect ring (for the first time) to propose to Val. You see, Wichy made plans to propose to Val during this trip, but anyone who knows him well enough knows he's a very calm guy (hence the fact he purchased the ring the night before the trip). However, when things are meant to be, the puzzles pieces start fitting together and that's how this weekend played out. On the last day on the slopes, Val asked Wichy to stop so she could take snap a shot of him with the incredible view of the mountains and before she knew it, Wichy was kneeling down on one knee!
