We're Getting Married!

We both met at the gym through a mutual friend. It began as the occasional hellos and eventually we became friends and began hanging out. Ironically, we both made commitments to move off to college prior to dating so it seemed perfect. We both moved 2 hours away from home to go to the same college. Yup, UCF!!! It was there where we grew together, we learned to be adults, to be patient, to be supportive and of course love each other. Never thought that the day we’d be starting our own family would come so soon. Yes, the last 7 years have flown by so fast. We still remember the first date and the first drinks that we had. It’s so crazy thinking about how we got here, God’s timing truly is perfect. Now that he’s asked the big question we both want all of you to be part of our celebration.

Valentina is from Colombia and hasn't been there in over 20 years. John has been to Colombia before and fell in love. When we started discussing places to get married, we both agreed that we wanted something outside of Florida, something different. We wanted a wedding where people would have to "pack their bags" and travel, a wedding that people would remember forever. It was then we began shooting the idea of destination weddings, and Colombia just sounded SO right.
