Cancun offers a mix of relaxation and adventure: * relax on the beach: soft white sand and crystal-clear water, perfect for a lazy afternoon * take a boat to Isla Mujeres: just a short ride away, with stunning views and great snorkeling. * Explore the Mayan ruins: Don't miss El Rey or take a day trip to Chichen Itza. * Nightlife & dining: from beach bars to world-class restaurants and clubs (such us Coco Bongo), there's something for everyone.

A laid-back vibe with plenty to explore: * Stroll down Quinta Avenida: shops, cafes, bars, and local culture all in one place. * If you are looking for a fine dining restaurant we suggest "Alux restaurant", which is inside of a cave! * Visit Cenotes: Natural freshwater sinkholes like Cenote Azul or Jardin Eden, perfect for swimming. * Beach Clubs: spend a day lounging in a style at one of Playa's many trendy beach clubs.

Day trip to Chichen Itza If you're up for a little adventure and a step back in time, visiting Chichen Itza is a must. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of the New Seven Wonders of the World and one of the most famous and impressive ancient Mayan cities. How to get there: From either Cancun or Playa del Carmen, there are several easy ways to reach Chichen Itza: * By tour: many companies offer a full-day guided tours that include round-trip transportation, a certified guide, lunch and often a stop at a cenote or in Valladolid (a charming colonial town). * By car: rentinga car gives you more flexibility. The drive from Cancun takes about 2.5 hours and from Playa del Carmen about 2 hours and 15 minutes. Roads are well-maintained and easy to follow. Just make sure to check if you need an international driving licence. * By bus: Ado offers comfortable, affordable buses from both Cancun and Playa del Carmen to Chichen Itza, though travel times are longer.
