Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Ceremony will commence at 6:30PM. Please plan to arrive by 6:15 PM to ensure we can start on time!

Question

Is there a wedding dress code?

Answer

Yes- Formal Attire! Examples include long dresses (midi to floor length), jumpsuits, pantsuits, and suits of any color with a tie. Ultimately, wear something you want to dance in!!

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes! See the following schedule for the Guest Shuttle: Departure from the Logan Hotel: 5:30 pm Please note, the busses will leave from the Assembly Lounge side entrance at 1840 Benjamin Franklin Parkway, NOT from the lobby drop off lane. There will be two departures from the Please Touch Museum back to the Logan: one at 11:00 pm, and one at the end of the wedding, at approximately 12:15-12:30 AM.

I like to go to bed early so I'm not sure about waiting for the shuttle to leave!

Answer

That is ok- we hope you stay late and party with us, but we won't hold it against you! The venue is only 15 minutes from the hotel blocks, so if you took the shuttle there, it is easy to call an Uber/Lyft/Cab to the Please Touch Museum.

Will any part of the wedding be outdoors or require stairs?

Answer

All parts of the wedding will be located indoors! Guests will need to walk a short distance outside and up a few stairs to get to cocktail hour, but otherwise, the event will be completely indoors. If you have accessibility concerns in regards to stairs, please let us know! All guests who are unable to use stairs will be escorted through the alternative route without stairs to cocktail hour.

Will there be parking at the wedding venue?

Answer

Yes! There is a free, guarded parking lot adjacent to the building with ample space for everyone who prefers to drive. If you will be partaking in the open bar, please use our shuttles to the hotel block or call an Uber/Lyft!

Are kids welcome?

Answer

For the welcome party, kids are welcome! Anyone under age 21 must leave by 9 pm. This is a venue rule, not ours. For the wedding, we have decided to keep it an adult event. If you are traveling in with kids and need childcare during the weekend, we want to make it easier for you! Please reach out to Grayson by May 1, and he will help put you in touch with local childcare contacts. We appreciate your understanding!

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Check your invitation for this! If we've given you a date, they will be listed by name or as "guest" on your invitation. We are unable to accommodate anyone beyond this.

Question

If I am flying in, should I get a rental car?

Answer

Not super necessary! Philly driving is not for the faint of heart and parking is expensive. From the hotel blocks, many city sites are walking distance, accessible via public transit, or a short Uber/Lyft ride away, which are readily available throughout the city.

Is anyone changing their last name?

Answer

Nope- we have both decided to keep our original last names! So Catherine will remain a Valentine and Grayson will remain a Magnuson.
