Late 2015 Kaylee started working at a retirement home, Brooksby Village, because her friends worked there. Originally, she worked at a different restaurant than her friends, so she would go hang out in their break room after work. Often, she would arrive before her friends were done working and Ronald would come down shortly after to eat and clock out. Ronald fondly remembers watching her and thinking she was cute and remembers that she would play with her earrings - something Kaylee still does as her nervous tick. Shortly after Kaylee would transfer to the other restaurant. Ronald often playfully joked around and messed with Kaylee, and although Kaylee found him incredibly annoying, she found herself missing him when he was not working. January 15th, 2016 Ronald finally was prodded enough by Kaylee's friends to ask for her number which he did so on the back of a placemat that Kaylee still has to this day. Shortly after they went on their first date and saw a terrible movie in the theater called ‘The Forest’ while being completely awkward teenagers and the rest was history. They were completely inseparable ever since. There were plenty of ups and downs that they had to overcome, but also plenty of fond memories and experiences they lived through together. They graduated highschool and navigated early adulthood, college, and moving in together with plenty of compromise, understanding, and growth. Now they are navigating parenthood and creating a happy family. They continue to grow, laugh, and learn together and look forward to the many years to come.
