Hannah has been Lauren’s friend since they were babies. They have been together through thick and thin and will always be ready to help the other one through and hard time. Hannah helped Lauren gain her affection for indoor plants.

Bridesmaid
Sarah was one of the first people Lauren talked to during graduate school, where they were lucky enough to sit next to each other and bond of books, crafts, and hiking. They have become ‘emotional support grad students’ for each other and will stick together as they both need someone to read books at the same time and share bonds over book romances.
Best Man
Val will be forever indebted to Mo's family, since they drove him to school throughout all of high school. Mo and Val also became close friends through this process, and have managed to get into lots of trouble together over the years (no actual trouble they mostly have gone hiking). Mo is good to talk to about really anything, but particularly economics or 2-hour video essays.
Groomsman
Will and Val sat next to each other on the first day of freshman English class. Things have only improved from there, as they became close friends and shared many intriguing adventures. Will is (affectionately) a true gamer,a bit of a wonk, and a connoisseur of the DC-area diner scene.
Groomswoman
Val met Frannie shortly after being born. She has always been an incredibly kind big sister, despite how annoying Val was (is) and the great advantages she held in height and strength. Frances is Val's lifelong friend, and has served as a model of excellence to him in many ways (ask her to show you her Ant Language for an example).
Ring dude
Zach and Lauren met in calculus class the first day of college and bonded over struggling with math. They spent the rest of college watching anime, playing Mario kart, and exploring Columbus, particularly belles bakery. Zach and Lauren are forever besties and have had a 1000 day snap chat streak.

Jared and Lauren met in their summer research fellowship in Pittsburgh, where they played scary video games, many many board games, and watched movies together. This led to a life long friendship where they share so many similar opinions that they always know there is someone that will agree with their plans
Mother of the Bride
Bobbie taught Lauren how to stand her ground on how she feels, to love helping those around her, and to live in the moment. As Lauren has aged, Bobbie has spread her love for cards and games to Lauren. The only games Lauren doesn’t play with Bobbie are word games because Lauren doesn’t stand a chance.
Father of the Bride
Gary has shown Lauren how to be passionate, to work hard, and to love working with her hands. Lauren and Gary share a stubborn spirit and are known to battle it out in a board game, starting with sorry when Lauren was young and moving onto catan as Lauren grew up.
Mother of the Groom
Jaima has shown Val the importance of creativity, red chile, happiness, doing something you find purpose in, and how to have a good laugh at your own joke (even if no one else seems to find it quite as funny).
Mother of the Groom
Pam is Val's bonus-mom and has been an important part of his life for a very long time. She has taught many wisdoms to Val over the years, such as how to write an outline for an essay, how to expertly wrap a gift, how to take care of a garden, and how to play boardgames (don't claim the last train-route into Miami or you may come to regret it later :))
Father of the Groom
Michael has imparted many things to Val: a love for history, instinctual light-headedness around blood, tearing-up at the end of movies, and awkwardly but affectionately patting someone on the knee to say "I love you."
Sassy cat support
Lauren got Methyl when she moved away from Val during their year of distance and she gave Lauren so much support. Methyl is known for being sassy and hungry, always making it known when it’s wet food time. She loves to lay on Lauren’s chest while Lauren and Val fall asleep so she can get pets from both of us at the same time.
Silly cat support
Val and Lauren got their first apartment together and then got Miss Pepper. She is known for having the zoomies and yowling at the door to have patio time. She and Methyl like to chase each other around the apartment. Pepper loves ‘playing’ board games, consisting of getting on the table and batting the pieces onto the ground.

While Sable is new to the family, she is very loved. Lauren fed her outside of their apartment for about a month before managing to catch her and integrate her into the indoor family. She is known for hiding under the ottoman, chasing and cuddling with Pepper, and liking belly rubs if you can catch her.
