We were talking on the phone and agreed to meet in person for the first time after my yearly eye exam. I was on the phone with Darryl discussing the details of our First meeting. I parked my car at the eye DR office kind of nervous about meeting this man. I was about to get out of my car and Darryl said "Make sure you close your back windows". ??? Wait?...What??? I thought! " Is this man stalking me?" I said " are you here?" Shaking and not knowing what to do. He said "I'm behind you in my black truck." I turned around and there he was. I walked to his truck nervously smiling, he rolled down his window watching me as I was walking toward him...Checking me out, smiling and smelling good, said "Hello" and that was that. Here we are 3yrs later!

We agreed in order for us to be grounded in the word and to have a strong foundation going into this marriage we will go to marriage counseling. We were in PK'S (Pastor Kevin's) office, Session 6 of 8,discussing what we like and dislike about each other. It went very well and we were wrapping it up. Hurricane Idalia was coming in and it started raining very hard, I was ready to go! We were getting ready to stand up and Darryl pulled out this piece of paper and started reading it. In my mind I was saying "baby what are you doing?' 'Lets go!!!" He kept on reading and I realized what he was doing. My jaw dropped! He got down on one knee and he asked me to marry him. he said I threw off the promise ring he gave me so fast when I saw that ring he had. I paused ...then said YES!
