James and I went to Sarah's Vineyard, one of the first places we went on a date together. James brought me to the garden area and told me he was going to take a picture of me. When I turned around from my "pose" for the picture he was down on one knee and had a photographer there to capture the entire thing!!

James and Kaila both listened to the same podcast Alex Coopers Call Her Daddy. The podcast posted James on Twitter after an episode. James had an influx of women messaging him and Kaila was in that mix. After exchanging messages/info the two started texting and talking as friends for a few months. This all was taking place in the middle of a pandemic and texts turned into long FaceTime calls which then turned into Kaila getting on a cheap covid flight to visit the Man the Myth the Legend himself. One trip was all it took and Kaila knew he was special. That led to long distance dating, more trips to each other, and eventually Kaila making the move to Ohio. This has been the story so far and we look forward to writing the next chapter with you all when we tie the knot in September.
