Hotel

The Berkeley Hotel

1200 East Cary Street, Richmond, VA 23219
 (804) 780-1300

After a major reinvention in the 1970s, the Shockoe Slip’s neighborhood movement provided an idyllic location on the corner of 12th and Cary Streets NW to welcome a boutique-downtown hotel. Prior to opening our doors in the Historic District of Richmond, architectures devoted attention to the era detail of similar surrounding buildings. The inn’s castle-like inspired detail provides a historic element when visiting. The Berkeley Hotel sits along the James River and neighboring cobblestone streets. Call on or before Sunday, August 25, 2024, (the “Cut Off Date”) to make room reservations. Please advise yourself as part of the Vaillancourt-Seegar Wedding group to get the group rate of $169/night. The group rate is valid from October 3 - October 6th.

The Jefferson Hotel

101 West Franklin Street, Richmond, VA 23220
 (888) 918-1895

For more than 125 years The Jefferson has welcomed visitors to the Richmond Region and served the city’s residents as a gathering place for social, business and charity events. Since opening on October 31, 1895, The Jefferson has served as a retreat for travelers and a constant in Richmond social and business life. During that time, we have been honored to welcome celebrities, luminaries, foreign dignitaries, legends, reptiles, The King and thirteen presidents! The Jefferson’s alligators that soon came to live in the marble pools in the Palm Court became a source of much interest. Richmonders and hotel guests enthusiastically donated pet alligators to the hotel as they became too large to occupy sinks and bathtubs. The last alligator, named Old Pompey, remained at The Jefferson until he died in 1948. Today you will find whimsical references to these legendary reptiles throughout the hotel. During your stay at The Jefferson Hotel we invite you to visit our museum located at the bottom of the legendary Grand Staircase. The museum was established in 1985 in celebration of the hotel’s centennial anniversary and we continue to add to the collection of interesting artifacts from the hotel’s rich history.
