We knew of each other through our mutual friends, Jess and Jake. They kept saying that the two of us would make a good couple. Several attempts were made to get the two of us together in the same place at the same time, and it never seemed to work out. Then one day, we matched on Bumble and pretended like we didn't know who the other person was. We went on our first date at Summit Brewery and, of course, Mike brought Grimace as his wingman. Eventually, we awkwardly admitted to each other that we already knew each other, and the rest is history!

If there is anything that Mike and Andrea disagree on, it's Christmas. Andrea is a lover of all Christmas things including real trees, Christmas music, and all of the decorations. Mike is not. It was a snowy December day and they had planned to decorate the Christmas tree that night. Andrea figured Mike would throw a fit per usual, but weirdly enough he seemed super excited to decorate the tree and kept texting her over and over again throughout the day asking when she was going to be home from work. She got home from work, he devoured his dinner in one bite, and kept rushing her to finish hers so they could decorate the tree. At this point, she was pretty confused but still had no idea what was going on. They finished dinner, Mike pulled out the Christmas ornaments, and he started hanging them on the tree... not so fast, buddy. Andrea explained to Mike that first we turn on Christmas music, then we hang the lights, then the ribbon, and then the ornaments. So Mike proceeded to pace around the house while she hung up the lights and ribbon. Finally, they got to the ornaments and he started to hand them to her one by one. After a couple of ornaments, she turned around to get the next one and Mike was down on one knee holding a ribbon with a ring box hanging from it. He opened the box with this gorgeous ring inside and asked her to marry him. She threw her arms up in the air to hug him, said yes, and tossed the box with the ring inside on the floor. After finding the box and putting the ring on, they spent the rest of the night in their cozy Minnesota home drinking champagne and calling family and friends with Christmas music playing in the background and the tree half decorated. She would've never expected him to do a Christmas-related proposal, but if you ask him, he now has a reason to love Christmas.
