Flight

Arriving at Zvartnots Airport (EVN)

✈️ Zvartnots International Airport is the main airport in Yerevan, and it’s small and easy to navigate. That said, be prepared for long lines at customs, especially if multiple flights arrive at the same time. 🕛 Late-night and early-morning arrivals are totally normal—flights landing at 3 or 4 AM are common, so don’t worry if you have an odd arrival time. 🚖 Taxis are available 24/7, and the best way to get to your hotel is by using Yandex Go or GG, which work just like Uber. The ride to Republic Square takes about 20 minutes. If you take a regular taxi, make sure to confirm the price beforehand and have some cash (AMD) on hand, as not all taxis accept cards.

Hotel

Where to Stay

For the most convenient experience, we recommend finding a hotel or rental near Republic Square. This is the heart of Yerevan, with easy access to restaurants, cafes, and major attractions. Plus, this is where we’ll be arranging shuttle pickups and drop-offs on the day of the wedding! Some popular options in this area: 🏨 Hotels: The new Courtyard Marriot, Marriott Yerevan, Paris Hotel, Hyatt Place 🏡 Apartments: Airbnb and Booking.com have great rentals within walking distance of Republic Square. Staying in this area will make it easy to get around and enjoy everything Yerevan has to offer! Let us know if you need any recommendations—we’re happy to help.

Travel Note

Getting Around Armenia

Armenia is an easy country to explore, whether you're navigating the streets of Yerevan or venturing into the countryside. Here are some helpful transportation options for your trip: 🚖 Yandex Go – The most reliable ride-hailing app in Armenia, similar to Uber. It’s affordable, safe, and widely used in Yerevan and other major areas. Download the app in advance for smooth rides! 🗺 Yandex Maps – The go-to navigation app for Armenia. Google Maps works, but Yandex Maps is often more accurate for routes, real-time traffic, and public transportation options. 🚗 GG – Another ride-hailing app available in Armenia. It’s a great alternative to Yandex Go, especially during peak hours. 🚍 Public Transportation – Yerevan has an extensive network of buses and minibuses (marshrutkas). Fares are inexpensive (about 100 AMD), but routes can be tricky for non-locals—Yandex Maps can help navigate them! 🚕 Traditional Taxis – If you prefer hailing a cab, look for official taxi services or ask your hotel for a reliable company. Be sure to confirm the fare before starting your ride. If you're planning to explore beyond Yerevan, renting a car is a great option, but be prepared for mountainous roads and local driving styles. And please don't hesitate to let us know if you have any questions!
