We were set up on a blind date by Julie, my sister. I was opposed to blind dates but she was very persistent so I reluctantly agreed. The first time Doug and I spoke prior to our date he told me he would pick me up in his car that had plastic garbage bags taped to the windows of his car since it was recently damaged... not a good sign. I said, "Okay." My voice was uneasy but I confirmed our date I could not back out now. The next day Doug showed up in a rented mustang for our date. I got in the car and was happy he made the decision to change the vehicle and he was also very handsome (yay!) He opened the door for me and I sat down ready for the ride to the restaurant. We exited the neighborhood and he turned right instead of left hmmmm I thought he must know a different way I will let him lead and not say anything. Thirty minutes into the ride he turns to me and goes "Um, where are we?" I started laughing and said "Oh, I thought you knew a different way!" We turned around and went back past my neighborhood (30 Minutes) then finally got to our destination, Saratoga (another 30 minutes). I got out of the car and said "Where are we going for dinner?" Doug says "Um Er Hm I forgot where we are going to eat and I forgot the name of the restaurant. Let's walk around and it will come to me." I agreed to walk around with this entertaining man who was laughing at himself for pretty much forgetting everything. We walked up and down streets and he kept saying "Maybe the restaurant is down here or up here or down here." Finally, we spotted the restaurant, Dangos. We had a nice dinner then went to throw some darts at Irish Times... of course I won hehe and Doug wanted to play over and over again until he beat me. The date was coming to a close, he drove me home and immediately asked me on another date and I agreed. 6 years later Doug still remembers what I was wearing that day on our first date.
