We're getting married!

Michael and I met in January 2019 during my freshman year and his junior year at Arizona State University. Our relationship started as a bit of a slow burn—I even visited his hometown in California that summer and was introduced to everyone as “Michael’s friend, Makenzie!” But despite the time it took for him to officially ask me to be his girlfriend, we built an incredibly strong friendship along the way. In September 2019, we finally made it official. From that moment on, we created countless memories together—navigating college life, taking trips, and enjoying our time before stepping into the “real world.” Michael graduated in 2020 and moved to Scottsdale, but that didn’t stop us from seeing each other almost every day. After I graduated in 2022, our relationship continued to grow even stronger as we built a life together beyond college. In 2024, I moved into Michael’s home in Tempe, and that’s when we really began envisioning our future as a married couple. In May 2025, we added our sweet dog Freddie to the family, who quickly became the joy of our lives. Just a few months later, on September 25, 2025, Michael popped the question in my hometown of Racine, Wisconsin! We celebrated with our families, and it was absolutely perfect. Like any couple, we’ve experienced our share of ups and downs, but our love has always come out on top. We can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter and spend the rest of our lives together. 🤍
