Maid of Honor
April is Amanda's cousin and has been a huge part of her life since childhood. Amanda describes April as the closest thing to a sister she ever had. Amanda looked up to her growing up, joining the color guard team due to April's inspiration. She loved going over to visit April when they were little to watch movies, swim, and make "tea" and "food" out of leaves and sand in the yard.
Kayden Cappelluti
Bridesman
Kayden is Amanda's best friend. They met working at the movie theatre and bonded over their mutual enjoyment of a specific youtube musician. They then spent the next 10 years being occasional housemates and going on adventures: from zoo visits to Disneyland (seeing the Dream Suite!) to concerts.
Emily Usher
Bridesmaid
Emily is Robin's sister. She is funny and wise, and as of 2024 she's a doctor of education. As kids, Emily and Robin loved watching 90s movies of questionable quality together (of course, at the time we thought they were classics). As adults, Emily, Robin, and Amanda all enjoy reading fantasy novels and doing walking challenges together.
Jon Ho
Best Man
Jon and Robin met as freshmen in college when they were randomly assigned as roommates. They quickly bonded over their shared interest in basketball, horror movies, and Mario Kart, and they ended up living together for many years both during and after college. They still regularly spend time together playing horse, watching movies, and trying (unsuccessfully) to recapture their past Mario Kart glory.
Matt Barkley
Groomsman
Matt and Robin have been friends for over 25 years. They went to elementary, middle, and high school together in Fukuoka, Japan, where Matt still lives. Robin has many fond memories of the two of them bowling, playing basketball and volleyball, and watching silly movies at Matt's house. Though they now live far apart, this is a friendship that's easy to pick back up whenever they see each other. The one thing this friendship is missing: a recent photo!
Jay Perry
Groomsman
Jay is Amanda's brother. He is hilarious, kind, and makes wonderful tie-dye shirts. In fact, Robin and Amanda used to wear some to the gym when they went together and all the coaches wanted one...so now all the coaches (and Stacey!) own Jay Originals. He makes the best croquet courses and Amanda can't look at Mortal Kombat, Mario Kart, or Rocket League without thinking about playing with him and cracking up.
Stacey Usher
Mother of the Groom
Robin's mom has taught him whimsy, resourcefulness, and appreciation. Robin loves that they continue to share their favorite music, books, and tv shows with each other. Amanda loves that Stacey finds so much wonder in the world and told Robin, early on, that if they ever split up, she is keeping his mom.
Eric Usher
Father of the Groom
Robin's dad has taught him logic, self-reflection, and sarcasm -- in addition to formally teaching him math and computer science in school! Robin has loved watching and playing basketball with his dad since before he can remember. Amanda loves that Eric is so accepting and that he is always trying to be a better person, in an inspiring way!
Shari Perry
Mother of the Bride
Amanda's mom is one of the strongest, most wonderful, and most stubborn people she can think of (I wonder where Amanda gets that from...). She makes some great food and can always make Amanda smile on a bad day. Shari has said multiple times that she could not have wished for or created a better partner for Amanda than Robin, a sentiment that Amanda shares! Robin loves Shari's sense of humor and the way she takes care of the people around her.
Pete Perry
Father of the Bride
Amanda's dad is full of jokes, smiles, and kindness for everyone. She loves when they get out the croquet set on holidays to play in the front yard and that he is always willing to go check out signs/art/random things that look interesting. Amanda also thinks she got a large chunk of her humor and creative talents from many hours of sitting by the campfire as a kid, and making up songs about anything and everything, to her dad's harmonica tunes. Robin loves Pete's calm and welcoming spirit, his sense of humor, and his help fixing things around the house!
