Once upon A Grand Affair, a formal dinner hosted for medical school students and faculty, Andrea, a nurse from Chicago, met a wonderful guy named Jacob, a first year medical student. They developed a friendship from that day on. Eventually, Andrea accepted a traveling nursing position in Kansas City, and moved from Chicago. Jacob was her first friend in KC. During their free time, Andrea and Jacob spend hours conversing about their passion for medicine, traveling, art, cultural experiences & endless netflix shows. As the years went by, their friendship blossomed. But before too long, Jacob was in his third year of medical school in another city hours away from Andrea. Andrea hadn’t seen Jacob for several months since he moved to Wichita to continue his medical education. Jacob decided to visit Kansas City. In the following months, Andrea contemplete moving back to Chicago & shared these thoughts with Jacob. She was homesick. Andrea decided to go back to Chicago to spend some time with her family and got off the grid. Jacob, no longer able to reach out to his best friend, realized exactly what he was missing.
