We are so happy to have invited y'all to our special day! We can't wait to celebrate with all our family and friends!
There is a unspoken stereotype about online dating and how relationships don't work nor happen. Well, welcome to us, the exception to that rule. Where a man and a women met through Hinge! Both of us sceptical of where we would go. We spent hours and hours just messaging what we like, what we want to do in life, and where we dream to go. We decided after a month of consistently logging on every day just rushing to see what each other messages are, we then started video chatting. Every evening one of us would be waiting for the nightly calls. That allowed us to share how our days went, and just to see each other smile, laugh and just bond through a deep conversation before bed.
Our first formal date went as well as could be expected. Even though we both were in constant communication, the first date is always a little nerve wrecking. One of our first conversations were about our favorite foods, and we ended up bonding over how much each of us loves sushi. David suggested Densetsu and that it would be one of the best sushi places we would fall in love with. One thing we didn't expect was how big the rolls were as we both felt a little embarrassed, as we were trying to stuff our faces with a sushi roll the size of a cupcake. We laughed and talked and it was one of the most memorable nights of our lives.
We both have been continuing to go on dates with each other for a few months now. David wanted to do something special for Ursula. We both share a love for country music and frequently we blast our playlists with various artists and songs; especially when we are together - whether that's in the car or at home. David decided to surprise her with Easton Corbin concert tickets at Billy Bob's in Fort Worth, Texas. He remembers how stunning Ursula looked when he picked her up that evening. The seats were really good as they were 20 feet from the stage. As Easton Corbin plays his top hits and more, we spent the whole evening just singing at the top of our lungs. As the concert wrapped up, we headed out to our car. Ursula just dancing around and David spinning her, he stops and ask " if it's okay to kiss her". At that moment Ursula got nervous and happy. That kiss felt 'magical'. Our night couldn't have ended any better!
David and Ursula have been dating for a while and he decides that she is the girl that he wants to spend the rest of his life with. So one day during the summer, David asks Ursula to go to a Zales because he knows she would want a part in picking the ring - even though she would never admit it. They both spent time looking at all the different rings and couldn't decide which of them were their favorite. Then he sees 'the ring', when he saw the ring on her hand, it was unforgettable. They both left the store, but later that afternoon he went back to purchase the ring. David got the ring that he wanted her to have always and forever.
Now anyone who knows both David and Ursula know that both of them hate surprises, but David did keep most parts of the engagement a secret. We were so excited for the weekend with both our families being together. We were going to be surrounded by our immediate family as we begin this next chapter in our life. The day of the engagement, January 9, 2022, David and his family went to the rooftop to set up decorations for the proposal, as she spent time with her mom. The final moment has arrived. As they go on a walk to the rooftop of this hotel that overlooked all of San Antonio, she was blindfolded. As she takes off the mask when told, he begins to speak about the his love, he cherishes for her, and about the journey that he wants them to create together.
