Lauren & Hayden met at Oklahoma City University where they both majored in Musical Theatre. They were fast friends and Hayden asked Lauren on a date about a month into their friendship. Although Lauren agreed, neither of them followed up... until 5 years later when both of them found themselves back home in Dallas, TX. Lauren & Hayden met for dinner as friends in the fall of 2019, but what started as a casual dinner turned into 5 hours of catching up, reminiscing and just a liiiiitle bit of flirting. They shared a first kiss about a month later and the rest is history!

Hayden didn't just plan a proposal, he planned an entire weekend of love and celebration! On Saturday morning, Hayden surprised Lauren with a fancy rooftop lunch at Restoration Hardware Knox/Henderson. Then, as they were heading home, Hayden mentioned that he'd like to take Lauren to a special spot at The Village Trail, their favorite place to go on walks together. Waiting for Lauren at The Village was a beautiful setup of roses, champagne and a picture of the two of them. Then Hayden got down on one knee and asked Lauren to spend the rest of their lives together! To celebrate the occasion, Hayden hired a photographer to take pictures of them at Bishop Arts District in Downtown Dallas - the couple's favorite date spot. But little did Lauren know that waiting for her at dinner were her best friends, Kelsey, Spencer and Veronica, who had flown in to celebrate the occasion! After an amazing dinner at Paradiso together, they all went back to Lauren & Hayden's apartment where all of their friends and family were waiting to surprise them for an engagement party! Lauren, Hayden, and their friends spent the next day at the State Fair celebrating, eating fried food, and realizing they had gotten too old to stomach some of the rollercoasters... So many memories were made that weekend and we will cherish it forever.
