FAQs

Question

Are you having a traditional Bengali wedding?

Answer

We would love to highlight and celebrate both our cultures during our wedding! The most important part to us was becoming husband and wife. We are so excited to celebrate our union with you this year, all our events are listed in the events tab.

Question

Do we have to RSVP?

Answer

Yes, RSVP for all events by June 7th! The RSVP's will give us a final head count for seating arrangements and catering. So please, RSVP accordingly!

Question

What about wedding gifts? Do you have a wedding registry?

Answer

If you would like to honor us with a gift for our Reception, we are kindly requesting no boxed gifts, which is a familiar Bengali wedding custom. Any monetary gifts you’d like to contribute will be greatly appreciated! Please view our registry tab for other options.

Question

What is the attire for each event?

Answer

The Reception is a formal wedding event and we are requesting that all guests dress accordingly. Guests are welcome to wear formal American or cultural attire of their choosing! For the Gaye Holud we request guests wear yellow. Preferably clothes you wouldn't mind if stained. For the women invited to the Mehndi, we are requesting shades of green. The theme is Heeramandi - so green sharara, gharara, anarkali dress is your best bet.

Question

Are the events inside or outside?

Answer

The entire Gaye Holud will be outdoors. We urge guests to review weather for Fontana a few days prior to the event. Typically the weather can be very hot during the summer and can be chilly in the evenings. The Reception and Mehndi will be fully indoors!

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

We would really love for everyone to enjoy their time with us! Please RSVP for any children included in your invite. The Mehndi is a ladies only event, this extends to children as well. It is our suggestion to arrange for childcare of young children as the events may be overstimulating. However, we understand that not all guests have access to childcare and we do not intend to exclude any guests.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We ask guests to please not bring a plus one. The number of invitees will be indicated on your RSVP. Thank you so much for understanding!

Question

What kind of food will you be serving?

Answer

There will be a mix of Bengali, South Asian and Mexican food through various events. We are trying to cater to all guests in a thoughtful manner. All food will be halal and there will be both vegetarian and vegan options for our loved ones to enjoy meals with us. Please let us know of any other dietary restrictions when RSVPing.

Question

Are you having any unplugged events?

Answer

No! Guests are welcome to take pictures and videos throughout the events. In turn, we request that all guests be mindful to not disrupt the programs and be respectful of the photographers. Please DO NOT live broadcast on any social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, or Tiktok. Thank you.
