It all began in the most romantic way imaginable...on Match.com...the dating app to end all dating apps. Sarah favorited Urnav because he was handsome and witty. He asked her out because she was beautiful and recognized he was handsome and witty...typical Urnav :) Their first date was originally supposed to be on New Year's Day. Urnav had to reschedule because he had the "flu"...unlikely story. Their first date was for drinks at Circa in Arlington, VA. Sarah was usually about 15-30 minutes late for everything. Miraculously, she was on time. Urnav, however, was 15 minutes late. After all, he had to travel to Virginia which he "never does." That night they realized that they shared a love for cocktails, good friends, and ridiculous stories. A few years later, they moved in together and started building a home in Adam's Morgan, DC.

In the summer of 2019, Sarah and Urnav planned a two week road trip down the California coast. They stopped for a few days in Carmel. On July 3rd, Urnav suggested they go to the Cheese Shop downtown to pick out a bottle of champagne and snacks to bring on on their hike. Later that day, they hiked Whalers Cove in Point Lobos Park and found a quiet spot looking out over the water. Urnav put down a blanket and poured some bubbles. Sarah said, "What should we cheers to?" Urnav said, "How about to this?" Then he got down on one knee and held out the ring.
